Mission field Trip

Image
Survived my first week back at work. Today I took my 12th class to Mission San Juan Capistrano. They gave me a commemorative medal for 10 years of visits. So awesome! Ran into a fellow fourth grade teacher and blew my kids minds! I'm slowly getting back to Wonder Woman. I can hardly believe how many kids and parents told me "it wasn't the same without you!" Tired, but full of love and appreciation for my SCA family!

Back home safe and sound!

She had the time of her life...and now needs to decide between RCC and Grand Canyon University.

Doodles...Flying to Arizona

Image
I can't believe I just put my baby on a plane to Arizona to look at a college! She is so excited! God keep her safe! (yup...I cried, and a really nice woman took the time to tell me it would be ok. I'm thankful for nice people. )

Out comes Captain Marvel....

Image
I'm sitting in California Adventure by myself while the rest of the family rides Guardians of the Galaxy. Out comes Captain Marvel. I can hardly contain my excitement like a 5 year old seeing Mickey Mouse for the first time. Yes, it's expensive. But we have worked hard for every trip over the years. I wouldn't trade even one magical moment. Same vacation over and over and I am blessed!!!

Headed back to work

My “workout” bag is packed and ready- complete with color coded exercises for every 2 hours. It’s back to work on Monday  # itsalwaysarmday # rotatorcuffrehab

Look what I can do!

Image
Putting my arm behind my back is pretty awesome!  Look what I can do! It may not be a big deal to regular people but this movement is essential to my recovery. My therapist did some voodoo Magic on me today because yesterday this was a dream! The movement hurts like crazy, but that's ok!

Prom dress shopping today.

I won't tell which she picked. You'll have to wait for Prom.

Movie Time

Captain Marvel. Sunday at the movies.

Disney Day!

Celebrating my baby boy at the happiest place on Earth! (Lots of people watching for me!) The highlight is the balloon at the end of the day!

No more Sling!

Image
No more sling! I'm so excited! Although I'm not progressing as well as I should be, I can ditch the sling! The doctor is ordering more physical therapy, but agreed to my return to work date. I'll be exercising at lunchtime and several other times in between. For now, I'm going to hope being out of this sling helps the progression! I have 2 more weeks to devote to my shoulder before I go to work.

Penny has Stairs

Image
It started because I would not be able to lift her onto the bed after my surgery... a month later they are done. Penny can get herself up onto the bed. She is such a good girl! There are 2 compartments in the stairs. One for her clothes, and one for her toys!

Ash Wednesday

6:30 mass before school for these kids. A great way to start the day!

My Baby is 15!

Time has simply flown by. My darling doughnut loving Douglas is 15 years old. We celebrated with MOD pizza, and a "doughnut" cake. Douglas loves his cats, Penny and Video Games. He is still an avid reader and is very helpful around the house!
